Land use policy for developing PV solar farms in China. Different from most developed countries, in China, urban lands are owned by the country, and rural lands are collective ownership. For this reason, the development of PV solar farms highly relies on the land use policy introduced by the government.
6.1. Policy suggestions The results of this study indicated that China, as one of the fast-growing countries in the global south, shows outstanding potential for solar PV power station installation and generation potential.
Therefore, full use of the unused land in the western region is conducive to fully tapping China's solar power generation potential and promoting regional development. Fig. 4. In these areas, the solar radiation is more concentrated, precipitation is less, and the temperature is lower, which is more suitable for developing PV solar farms than in the eastern and central regions of China.
